Husna Khan, CMHC Intern

Salt Lake/Millcreek

I am a student clinician pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Utah. I currently work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges. I also have experience supporting youth facing behavioral concerns, family conflict, and identity development.

My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive and culturally responsive space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, emotions, and relationships. I believe healing happens through connection, self-understanding, and the development of practical tools that empower clients both inside and outside of therapy.

I am a Bangladeshi Muslim woman and mother to two energetic little boys. My cultural identity, faith, and experiences as a mother deeply shape the way I approach therapy and connect with others. Becoming a mother has been one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of my life — especially considering I have an incredibly low pain tolerance! All of my experiences have deepened my empathy and strengthened my appreciation for the resilience people are capable of, even during life’s most difficult moments.

Outside of work and family, I love reading psychological thrillers, watching reruns of Friends and Law and Order: SVU, and taking naps.
