COUNSELORS & STAFF
Misty Nomberto, CSW
Trauma has a way of echoing through our lives, especially during times of change. Whether you're navigating a faith transition, gender transition, relationship changes, grief, or the complexities of addiction recovery, trauma-informed therapy offers a safe, grounding space to process what’s happened and reclaim what’s possible.
As a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with a background in psychology and gerontology, I bring years of experience in dementia care, hospice, and trauma-informed education. This foundation shapes my compassionate, person-centered approach to healing, honoring both past pain and present resilience.
I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals processing complex trauma, including developmental trauma, religious trauma, grief, and identity shifts. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing, I help clients gently explore their stories, regulate distress, and reconnect with their inner strength.
Together, we’ll work to increase self-awareness, foster safety, and build the tools needed to move through life’s transitions, not just surviving them, but growing through them.
