You’ve done your best to hold it all together, but the past keeps finding its way into the present. Whether you’re experiencing flashbacks, numbness, overwhelming emotions, or a deep sense of disconnection, your mind and body are trying to tell a story that’s never felt safe to tell. You don’t have to keep carrying this alone. I specialize in working with adults wanting to heal from trauma and offer a trauma-informed, compassionate space to do the deep work of healing.
Therapy with me is grounded in Judith Herman's three stages of trauma recovery: stabilization, reprocessing, and reintegration. While each stage is important, I do my best work in the reprocessing phase, where we begin to loosen the grip of the past and create space for new ways of being.
My approach is eclectic and tailored to your needs. I integrate EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support your healing. Together, we can help you reconnect with your inner resources, reduce emotional suffering, and move toward a life that feels more whole.
Kimberlie’s FAQ’s
-
Therapy is most helpful when it's collaborative. At the beginning of each session, I will ask each person what they want to work on in session and branch out from there based on treatment goals and planning. Because of this, I do anticipate each client to be an active participant in session and throughout the treatment process.

I specialize in C-PTSD stemming from childhood difficulties, trauma, anxiety, and women's issues.

I start by doing weekly sessions with individuals in order to build basic skills and support clients in their day-to-day living. As I believe therapy is meant to be collaborative, I appreciate feedback from each person on when they feel ready to reduce sessions to every other week or once a month. This will be dependent on meeting treatment goals, stability, as well as other individualized factors. Additionally, if I feel like there is a need to transition to meeting less frequently, I will discuss this with the individual and we will make a collaborative decision on session frequency.

I offer both! I work out of our Provo office, and am happy to do whichever is best for the client.

I am a firm believer of meeting people where they're at. There will be days where you need to vent, other days where you need to process something difficult, and other days where we will work on building skills to support your goals. This is why I value asking each person what they hope to get out of each session, as you're with yourself 100% of the time, and I see you for maybe an hour a week. You know yourself well and I want to support you in your healing journey as you're the expert of you!
