I believe that each one of us has a drive to experience joy, happiness, and satisfaction in life. For many of us, however, depression, anxiety, past trauma, relationship problems, life adjustments, and other issues make this difficult. I offer a safe environment to explore these concerns, gain insight, and work toward building a more satisfying life.
I specialize in working with adults struggling with mood disorders, the effects of past trauma and abuse, self-harm, suicidality, substance use, relationship issues, and other general mental health behavioral problems that impact life. I am trained in and regularly use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have seen remarkable, rapid progress and relief from symptoms through this method. Following graduate school, I also completed a one-year residency program in Phoenix, Arizona where I received extensive training and supervision in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I incorporate these modalities to help my clients gain behavioral skills to more effectively cope with life’s problems and live out their values and goals.
